How the Five Remembrances Bring Peace

  • Northlake Chapel 308 4th Ave South Kirkland, WA 98033 (map)

Friends,

For this Tuesday, April 7, Eastside Insight gathering, we'll explore the Five Remembrances.

The Five Remembrances remind us of life's core conditions, the arising and passing of our own lives, and those of ones we love. While this message may seem difficult, it inspires us to practice on the spiritual path. We'll discuss the five - that I am of the nature to get sick, to age, to die, to be separated from loved ones; and that all we bring forward is karma - and see how helpful they are.

We’ll be gathering at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7.

Please email Steve for the URL for the evening, or please come in person to the chapel at Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church, 315 3rd Ave S., Kirkland, WA 98033.

Please consider offering dana to Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church, which makes this space available on a dana-only basis, in a very kind and generous way. If you do, please mention you’re from Eastside Insight Meditation.

Also
you're invited to offer dana to the teacher, with links and addresses below. Many thanks for your generous dana, which helps pay for retreat and teachings, and helps others on the way.

Big bows to the kind sangha members who help set up for these evenings, now Tuesdays. It’s hugely helpful when you can help, and when can say you’ll be helping. Thank you!

The
dharma starts with how things are, and then it shows us how to live with reality in equanimity and good heart. May your hearts be at ease.

With bows and love,
Steve
