Guest Teacher Carrie Tamburo

  • Northlake Chapel 308 4th Ave South Kirkland, WA 98033 (map)

Friends,

For this Tuesday, July 21 Eastside Insight gathering, guest teacher Carrie Tamburo will teach about Reference Points: Tools; for Liberation

The evening will only be online, not in the chapel, and Carrie will be Zooming in from San Diego.

Here's her words about her talk: Clinging to familiar reference points, we construct who we are.  Through “selfing” we fall into delusion, but we can also use the “self” to find our way out.    In this talk, we will explore the illusionof a solid self, and how to practice creatively with our attachments to reference points, which help create this illusion.

Here's a bio of Carrie:

Carrie Tamburo, Ph.D., has practiced meditation for over 35 years in the Tibetan and Vipassana traditions.  In addition to having translated dharma, she teaches in both English and Spanish, in California and in Latin America.  Carrie is particularly interested in the applicaiton of dharma in daily life.

We’ll be gathering at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21

The URL for the evening will be www.eastsideinsight.org/Online2026, and the sit will only be online for this Tuesday.

Please consider offering dana to Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church, which makes this space available on a dana-only basis, in a very kind and generous way. If you do, please mention you’re from Eastside Insight Meditation.
