Three Mantras that Support Practice

  • Northlake Chapel 308 4th Ave South Kirkland, WA 98033 (map)

Friends,

For this Tuesday, May 19 Eastside Insight gathering, we'll explore three mantras to  help you on the  spiritual path.

These three traditional mantras - words or syllables with spiritual power - can help us in our meditation and in our daily lives. While mantras aren't usually emphasized among mindfulness practitioners in the West, they're strongly used in Asia. The Buddho mantra, for instance, was central to the practice of Ajahn Boowa, the Thai forest master who was a contemporary of Ajahn Chah.

We’ll be gathering at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19.

The URL for the evening will be www.eastsideinsight.org/Online2026, or please come in person to the chapel at Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church, 315 3rd Ave S., Kirkland, WA 98033.

Please consider offering dana to Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church, which makes this space available on a dana-only basis, in a very kind and generous way. If you do, please mention you’re from Eastside Insight Meditation.

Big bows to the kind sangha members who help set up for these evenings, now Tuesdays. It’s hugely helpful when you can help, and when you can say you’ll be helping. Thank you!
